A Train Ride to Udawalawe

You could take the train from Colombo Fort to Beliatta daily as there are no direct trains to Udawalawe, where trains are available three to four times a day. The journey would last for 3 hours and 40 minutes to Beliatta. From Beliatta, you would need to get a taxi to Udawalawe. A Bus Ride to Udawalawe

From the Colombo Bastian Mawatha Bus terminal, you could hop onto a bus to Embilipitiya (route 122 – 3), which takes around 4 hours, and from Embilipitiya, you could take a taxi or a tuktuk.
